Alex Boyd – Attorney at Law

Born and raised in Kankakee, Illinois, Alex showed an early interest in law by being an active member of the Kankakee County Teen Court program. While in high school he was named a member of the board of directors of the program.
Alex received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Eastern Illinois University in 2012. During his time there he also participated in the Model Illinois Government Moot Court Competition for two straight years, placing 2nd overall in 2011. After graduation, Alex spent two years working in State government in Wisconsin before attending The John Marshall Law School in Chicago
While in Law School, Alex was a member of the Student Bar Association and participated in the American Association of Justice Trial Advocacy Competition. He entered into criminal law by using his 7-11 license to work first for the Kankakee County State’s Attorney’s office and then for the Kankakee County Public Defender’s office during his 3L year.
Alex was admitted to the Bar in November of 2017 and prior to joining the firm worked as an assistant state’s attorney in both Vermilion County and Champaign County, Illinois. In each office Alex prosecuted Juvenile Delinquency and Criminal Felony cases of all types.
Alex spends his free time with his family and friends and is an active member of the Knights of Columbus
